I’m a writer and storyteller looking for the most honest way to

say the things we most need

to hear.

I haven’t always known I had a knack for it and wouldn’t have even called myself a writer until my actual boss at an ad agency signed my copywriting cheques every week. Up until then, it was simply something I did — like inhaling and exhaling.

It was never my answer to, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” probably because I already was it without really realizing it. I’ve just always had the instant reflex to pat my pockets and find a pen so I could try to decipher what was happening, mostly within myself. Ink is where I run first and, at some point, I was wise enough to pay attention to that.

for all kinds of people.

Photographers, magazines, musicians, athletes, nutritionists, non-profits, designers, real estate agents, painters, coaches, hospitals, construction companies, HGTV stars, motorcycle clubs, clothing brands, movement gurus, herbalists, skincare empires, conscious creative agencies – it’s a long list.

Say hello on Substack

Substack is pretty much a throwback to blogging days, but with a subscription model tacked on. It’s a way for writers to broadcast quick blips and long-form trips in one place with an honouring trade between author and reader. Mine is just like my book — snackable vignettes on life lately — and if that’s what you’re into, I’ll see you there.

I have a style, a particular way of saying things. It’s clear and terse yet holds a lot of water. It takes people places, usually within themselves. What I write isn’t rushed, yet gets to the point with noticeable colour. I start most sentences from the soul and find my way to a period from there. I’ve been known to overdose on alliteration, but it’s not my worst crime. There’s always a simpler way to say it, and it’s usually a few drafts in.
